ADDED 50 BIBS FOR THE LIVIGNO SKY TRAIL

Races are sold out, but another 50 bibs are arrived for the Sky Trail – 17 km.

Thanks to the reconfirmation of the 2020 registrations, Livigno Skymarathon and Sky Trail have been sold out in advance. A good news for those who, on Saturday 19 June, wanted to run on the trails of the Italian Alps of Livigno.

Given the numerous requests, the organizing committee of the Livigno Skymarathon, led by Marco De Gasperi, decided to put up for grabs another 50 bibs for the 17 km race: “We have been literally flooded with requests – admitted Luca Moretti, President of Apt Livigno -. Our will, for this year, remains that of having a maximum number of 350 competitors to be able to better manage the various anti Covid restrictions. However, after having made the necessary evaluations, we have understood that about 50 more competitors on the Sky Trail would be feasible. Compared to the Skyrunning World Series race, the 17 km race is certainly less technical, but no less spectacular since it also touches mythical areas such as the Crap Dala Parè, one of the most panoramic points with a view of the lake and the whole Livigno valley”.

Entering into the logistic/administrative details of the double event in mid-June, Marco De Gasperi pointed out: “We are satisfied with the level reached by the Livigno Skymarathon. Soon we will announce the starting list, but I can anticipate that we will have at the starting line some of the best world interpreters of the specialty. Now our attention is focused on other fronts. There is still a lot of snow in the upper part of the race, so we are evaluating the best solution for the course. As far as safety is concerned, given the current restrictions, we have thought of setting up three fairly important refreshments, but for the rest the race will be semi-self-sufficient. All competitors will therefore be required to have their own glass in the compulsory material, also in order to continue to take care of the environment”.

The engines are warming up in Livigno for what will be the first big sport event of the summer 2021.
